If you’re interested in investing in a business or a franchise under $20,000, under $20,000, this is the video for you. Today, we’re going to go through a few different industries that are well-suited for franchises less than $20,000, as well as go through some actual franchise examples that you can invest in for $20,000 or less. So let’s get right into it.

Most of the franchises under $20,000 are going to be service businesses. So that could be commercial cleaning, and there are some really big players in the commercial cleaning space like Jenny King with over 5,000 locations throughout the United States that are franchises that you could potentially start for a total investment, including the franchise fee and some additional funds for less than $20,000. Also, less than $20,000 is going to include opportunities for some existing business owners to rebrand to a franchise.

So you might want to have a better brand, technology system, lead generation, and there are other benefits where you might want to convert your commercial cleaning business, property management business, or other service-based concepts, or even a restaurant into a franchise brand.

Going through the list of franchises under 20K unvetted biz, you can see there’s some travel-related brands, travel agencies, including cruise planning, franchise opportunities, which I’m not a big fan of franchises that are in the travel and hospitality space, maybe besides some hotels, as you’re often competing directly with a lot of money coming from Silicon Valley and technology programs that are making a lot easier for the end consumer to plan their own trips, see the fees and don’t need an intermediary necessarily to help them in the path to get the right cruise booked for them and their family.

So these brands, these travel agencies, cruise planners had been hit by technology, and a lot of upfront investment come in from there, as well as the pandemic that we’re emerging out of. And with those two items, I would stay clear for now and perhaps indefinitely from different franchises and business opportunities in the travel agency space. Now, a business that we’ve looked at and one of our analysts went through Poop 911. As you might be able to tell by the name Poop 911, it is pet waste removal services, and this is an industry that people are adopting and buying puppies, cats, kittens at a much higher rate than in the past.

In some areas like where we’re based in Miami Beach, pet ownership has ballooned, grown 20, 30, 40%, depending on what timeframe you look at, and can’t leave my apartment or the office without seeing numerous dogs being walked. Also with this whole hybrid and work from home, people are spending more time in their local communities going to parks, walking around, even going to dog parks, and those municipalities need to be responsible to clean the pet waste for those owners that aren’t otherwise responsible so that you have franchises and the pet waste removal space such as Poop 911.

Another popular franchise that’s available under $20,000 is College Pro Painters. They have 120 locations throughout the United States. However, with this brand as well as many franchises under $20,000, it’s easy to get into the business and it’s easy to get out. So even though College Pro Painters has been around since 1971, 50 years, and the franchise fees are zero dollars and the royalty fluctuates between 5% and 20% based on their performance, there’ve been a lot of closures. You can check out the failure rate for College Pro Painters, how it compares to their industry peers, as well as franchises as a whole on the premium section of our site, www.vettedbiz.com. So we compare the metrics on all different types of franchises to see growth rate, opening rate, failure rate, and all different types of metrics that you need to consider before you even pick up that phone to call the franchisor…
